Mr Anthony Gomes Professional conduct panel outcome Panel decision and reasons on behalf of the Secretary of State for Education June 2017 In accordance with The Teachers’ Disciplinary (England) Regulations 2012, a professional conduct panel was convened to consider the case of Mr Anthony Gomes. The proceedings were held on 12 June 2017 at 53 to 55 Butts Road, Earlsdon Park, Coventry CV1 3BH. The decision made on behalf of the Secretary of State for Education was to impose a prohibition order. This means that Mr Anthony Gomes is prohibited from teaching indefinitely and cannot teach in any school, sixth form college, relevant youth accommodation or children’s home in England. Furthermore, in view of the seriousness of the allegations found proved against him, Mr Gomes shall not be entitled to apply for restoration of his eligibility to teach.
